As we reflect on the first quarter of 2025, we are filled with gratitude and excitement for all that’s been accomplished—and all that’s still to come. It’s been a fantastic start to the year at the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce, and we want to thank you for being part of it.
Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve achieved together so far:
Events
We kicked off the year with a celebration of excellence at our Annual Business Excellence Awards, where over 500 people came together to recognize 15 outstanding local businesses making a difference in our community.
We also hosted a sold-out International Women’s Day event, featuring the inspiring Angela Sterritt as our keynote speaker.
Workshops
Our 3-week Honouring Land and Language workshop was a resounding success—participants left feeling moved, connected, and asking for more.
We also offered two Human Resource workshops led by local HR expert Jody Bomhof, helping our business community stay sharp and informed.
Networking & Programs
From our Coffee Chats to the launch of our first-ever Mentorship Program (in partnership with Community Futures and WeBC), we’ve been focused on meaningful connection and support.
We also celebrated another sold-out Emerging Leaders initiative, creating space for the next generation of leaders to grow and thrive.
Recognition
We are incredibly proud to share that the Chilliwack Chamber was recognized as the 4th fastest growing Chamber in Canada—and 2nd in BC! To thank our amazing members, we hosted a special celebration in your honour. Because without you, none of this would be possible.
Looking Ahead
We’re just getting started! Here’s a taste of what’s coming up:
- More workshops to support your growth
- Our annual Golf Tournament (a member favorite!)
- Two Women’s Leadership events
- Two more Emerging Leaders events
- A community-wide celebration for Indigenous Peoples Day
- And more exciting initiatives in the works…
On the advocacy front, we’re actively working with CERN (Chilliwack Economic Resource Network) to keep you informed on the latest tariff developments. We’ll be connecting you with local industry experts who live and breathe this work—ensuring you understand how tariffs impact your business and the broader local economy.
