Business Resources

Chamber Academy

The Chamber Academy is an online learning platform for businesses to access affordable workshops and educational resources. It offers recorded sessions with panellists, webinars, and other business tools to support professional growth and community engagement. The platform is tailored to help local businesses gain practical knowledge in an accessible and cost-effective manner.

For our first series of workshops, we partnered with Coralee Grimm from Culture Co. to showcase a series of five workshops surrounding Digital Marketing. In these workshops, you can master Branding Basics, dominate Social Media for Business, tell your Story with impact, organize Social Media Content Calendars, and unlock creativity in Canva 101. Each workshop can be purchased individually for $75, or buy all 5 in a bindle for $350.

We also have a FREE recording of a Generational Panel, where Jody Bomhof from Resolve HR Solutions & Mediation gives us some excellent HR insights, followed by an incredible panel of UFV and high school students chatting about generational differences, future career expectations and more.

Worksafe Requirements for Businesses

Employers must ensure that workers have timely, easily accessible, and suitable first aid treatment. As of November 1, 2024, changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (OHSR) regarding the provision of occupational first aid will come into effect. These amendments will alter first aid requirements for many workplaces, with the most significant impact on higher-risk and remote industries.

Employers will need to complete a first aid assessment, ensure your first aid kit is compliant with the updated regulations and update those kits if necessary. For more details, check the link below from WorksafeBC, or contact local organization WorksafeT Solutions Inc.
