Building Stronger Businesses Through Women’s Peer Mentorship

Over the past 8 weeks, two women’s peer mentorship groups came together (Chilliwack cohort and Harrison Agassiz cohort) with a simple but powerful intention: to create space for connection, honest conversation, and growth among women business owners.

The goal of this group was not to provide answers, or one size fits all solutions, but to offer a facilitated environment where participants could identify their own goals, talk openly about real challenges, and learn from lived experience of others in the room.

The outcomes were meaningful. Participants built stronger confidence, gained perspective though shared experience and left with a clearer sense of direction, supported by a network of peers who understood realities of running a business. Just as importantly, the group fostered trust, connection, and a sense of belonging that often gets lost in the day-to-day pace of entrepreneurship.

Programs like this matter. Women business owners frequently work in isolation, carrying significant responsibility with limited outlets for support. Peer mentorship creates space to be heard, to learn collaboratively, and grow alongside others who truly understand the journey. When we invest in connection, we strengthen not only individual businesses, but our broader business community.

Thanks to WeBC for the opportunity once again to host these groups in our communities!!!

A huge thanks to Sara Dzaman and Erin Houldsworth for facilitating and being amazing mentors- we appreciate your investment of time and energy!
