Big news for B.C.’s construction industry—and a proud moment for the Chilliwack Chamber!
In 2022, then Board President Marlon Hall and our policy team authored a resolution calling for prompt payment legislation to support contractors, trades, and small businesses impacted by delayed payments. That policy was officially adopted at the 2023 BC Chamber AGM with overwhelming support from Chambers across the province.
Today, we’re thrilled to see that legislation is finally happening here in B.C.! This is a powerful example of grassroots advocacy making a difference, and we’re proud to have been part of the momentum that helped move it forward.
