We know current flood conditions are concerning, especially seeing water in areas like Sumas Prairie and near Highway 1. While the Chamber will do our best to share accurate, verified updates, it’s important to remember that no single organization can provide real-time information for every location as conditions continue to change.
What’s being seen right now is consistent with flood modelling following recent river levels. Much of the water is delayed drainage already in the system—not a new surge. Emergency crews and infrastructure operators anticipated this phase and are actively managing it.
